Engage & Represent: Traverse City DDA Board has an Opening
Engage & Represent
A vacancy is available on Traverse City’s Downtown Development Authority board. This is an excellent board to join & immediately see an impact as the DDA is about the only show in town that has freed up capital. This board has a mission and plan that supports spending & programming to improve the downtown district, which is larger than one might first guess.
For introduction to the board, I refer you back to a Plan for TC post from June 2010: The most influential board you probably don’t pay any attention to – DDA.
To be considered, you first apply to the clerk’s office and then you’re interviewed by a team of three city commissioners who will make a recommendation to the full city commission. This round of interviews will be conducted by Mayor Chris Bzdok, Mayor Pro-Tem Ralph Soffredine, and Jim Carruthers. Full press release below and an application can be found at the City website.
Engage & represent, and enjoy it.
