When Civil Discourse Goes Wrong, Check Yourself

After receiving a few rather spiteful, even hateful, certainly not constructive, emails this week concerning the ongoing train discussion at Clinch Park it was refreshing to see the following flow chart pop-up in my Google Reader: So You’ve Seen Something on The Internet by Rosscott, Inc…should you argue?

    I learned early on in my city service that emails sent in anger have a 100% failure rate. Mine and others’.

    I’m certainly in the middle ground most of the time; I can live with that. Of course, it’s wiser external forces that keep me in check.
