Tails On Trails, Then Chickens and Tweed On Wheels

Announcement

This Saturday in Traverse City there are at the least three events worth a tweet.

  • At 9 am is Tails to Trails along the Vasa trail. This is a fundraiser for TART Trails, that is really  just an excuse to see how many canines the community can bring together. I know two beagles who will be there with full enthusiasm. Pre-registration saves you money.

_

  • At 11 am, put the dogs down for a nap and hop on a bicycle for the second annual TC Coop Loop to help celebrate our urban egg-layers. Chicken hosts will open up their yards and minds to share the experience of raising chickens. This is a free self guided tour between 11-4 pm.
_
  • At 4 pm, after the chickens are sufficiently over dozed with attention, change into your best tweed and join the community for the first Tweed Ride in Traverse City. You may have seen the following poster around town, which covers almost all you need to know. If not, Tweed Ride TC has a Tumblr site, a Facebook page and a Twitter account. And further below, a 2 minute slide shows of everything. Meet at the Open Space for a stylish, social, and short (5.5 mile) journey around Traverse City…followed by a visit to a favorite local.

So, what are you doing Saturday?

I would like to be on your mailing list for upcoming events. Do you ever have any in the SF North Bay area? I am also interested in knowing if you have events with vendors. I carry a line of Scottish Harris Tweed sport coats, driving caps, Aran and Argyle woolen sweaters which I sell at the Caledonian Scottish Games. If you have a venue for vendors In the San Francisco Bay area I would love to participate. Looking forward to hearing more about your events. Sounds like much fun!
Most sincerely, Laura Richards Heirloom Blessings
