A crushed curb less than one year after reconstruction on Traverse City’s 8th St.

Is it poor design, poor planning or simply the cost of heavy vehicles?

It isn’t someone on foot or bicycle that is responsible for this, that’s for certain.

    Looks like a dualie truck or semi who cut the corner, and pretty fresh by the look of it! Probably delivering to that Glen’s? An easy design solution for that is to put something on that corner that vehicles really don’t want to hit, like a sign or a tree or a boulder. Half of the problem there is bare dirt.
