Seeing The Human Patterns In The Snow
What patterns are you seeing in the snow tracks?
One advantage of this freak April snowstorm? We get to watch the tire tracks on the roads and streets one last time before summer. Try it, it’s is really fascinating. In many places you really start to see how much space is devoted to our automobile habits that goes largely unused. Here a neighborhood st., (Rose St.) is 36 ft. wide (40 ft further south) and only about 18-20 feet actually being used. There is parking, but it is rarely used.
One result is higher speeds as there is very little cognitive reminder for drivers to go slow, not to mention cars racing north to catch the green light at 8th St.
