What’s Your Intent? Pros & Cons Of One-way & Two-way Streets
Peter Spaulding compiled this list of pros and cons of one-ways and two-ways with Traverse City’s State Street in mind. There may be other variables to consider, however, this is a pretty poignant list for any city to use when looking at their intentions for a place.
Traverse City’s Downtown Development Authority has held one meeting discussing a one-way to two-way street conversion for State Street. There wasn’t anyone vehemently opposed to the idea, however, it was cautioned that it could be a long, long process. As James’s piece earlier this morning suggests, sometimes opportunities simply present themselves unexpectedly (west Front construction?). It’s good to be ready.
