Let The Ice Skating Begin
Parks department employees Matt and Adam spent Monday flooding the City’s 3 ice rinks. Here they flood the most central of the parks at F&M park on Washington and Railroad. The other ice rinks are along 14th St. next to Thirlby Field and at Traverse Heights elementary school. The school site has a bonus: a warming hut!
They had planned to flood the rinks earlier in December and they were thwarted by the big melt.
Do you strap on the skates and use Traverse City’s public ice? What’s your experience?
