My Wheels are Turning

My Wheels Are Turning promotes intentional design for humans with less focus on motorized traffic. Places that do this are more popular; we flock to them. We think we should live in them. That’s the goal.

Underwriters keep the wheels turning & help this project flourish. We are looking for dedicated underwriters with-which to establish a partnership.

Who should consider underwriting? Individuals, businesses & organizations that want to:

• Promote livable communities
• See pedestrian & bicycle levels increase
• Create healthier & cleaner neighborhoods
• Be part of a solution to designing the community

Such a community would vitalize the local economy  by becoming even more of a destination for Midwest tourists. Perhaps more importantly, it could become a place for local business development built around serving daily, year-round active transport and transit commuters who have more expendable income not tied down on an automobile. It would also be a healthier place for individuals & the environment.

$250 (or more) for the rest of 2010 ensures hot-links back to your site via:

• An ad for your business/organization on the Underwriter page
• Sidebar ad & text placement on each page
• Under consideration: a rotating ad placement at the bottom of individual posts.
• We like to name drop a lot too!

Online Traffic

Officially, MyWHaT has been publishing 5 days a week since January 4th, 2010. In that short span, weekly visits have leveled off to between 800-900 hits per week. Our goal is to double that in the next 4 months.

This is an opportunity for leaders in the community to be one of the initial sponsors of My Wheels are Turning. Sponsors to the site will help to ensure that it flourishes and remains relevant. By being included in the first breakaway, you will be able to give valuable feedback on what works or doesn’t work well with the underwriter program. This is a living concept we’re open to suggestions in how to strengthen the underwriter program.
