The Green Pedestrian Crossing

The Green Pedestrian Crossing: Painting crosswalks with trees and allowing people on foot to paint the leafs with their feet is a campaign to encourage walking and ecological awareness by the China Environmental Protection Foundation and conceived by DDB China.
The actual size of the paintings were 41′X21‘ and was later exhibited at the Shanghai Zheng Da Art Museum. There were 132 streets where the project was installed.
Reminds me of painting intersections with the tracks of automobiles.

Would be great if these types of features would be incorporated into a make-over of 8th street….we certainly have a great arts community in TC to make it happen….
