If there are any readers in Northern Michigan throwing a party and using red plastic cups (or equivalent), please save them for the TC-DIY Traffic Calming Testing & Experimental Club. Send a message when available.
There are a few places prime for testing a version of Brooklyn Spoke’s “Solo Cup Bike Lane” and Urban Country’s “Trashy BIke Lane“.
More parking! More parking! More parking!
And…I was just out at the mall and thinking…we need more massive concentrations of asphalt to store our 2-3 ton transportation pods on. I mean, the 500 million empty parking spaces at any given time are simply too many not enough.
Looks like I’m not alone: introducing Michigan Needs More Parking (…ahem)

When do you need the Red Solo cups? Before or after Labor Day? Can they be dirty or do you need them washed?
Dirty, ready to be recycled preferred. No time frame, projects of the TC-DIY Traffic Calming Testing and Experimental Club are still only brain-childs of the slightly off-kilter.
I’ll be in northern Michigan for the holiday weekend, but red solo cups will not be involved. I’m glad to see there is a program to recycle them, though.
