Around this time of year when I was a teen running around Traverse City, there were two rope swings to note: one going across Kids Creek and one along the Boardman River downtown. We also frequented the Open Space launch pad and the train trestle, but sans rope. We survived. Mostly.
Are there any rope swings in the city proper anymore?

We have always had a rope swing in our back yard on West 11th St. This year the March storm broke the limb, but we moved the swing to another branch on our ancient Norwegian Spruce. My earliest memory of joy is connected to a rope swing my father put up on a large wild cherry tree in my childhood hometown.
