What your contributions fund

A portion of past contributions have been used to attend conferences and workshops on transportation and design of public space. Next Thursday is the Michigan Association of Planning 3rd Transportation Bonanza in Lansing. I attended last year. I came away impressed with the rhetoric, more informed and confident that the right collaborators are working together. Michael Ronkin as the keynote (Complete Streets: Assume Yes, Justify No…Make The Leap) was certainly a confirmation that we are on the right path on this blog.

The bonanza snuck up on me this year and I’m exploring attending with a Safe Routes to School advocate from Traverse City. In addition to topics on complete streets and a session on walking audits, there is an entire track of workshops on Safe Routes to School.
