Bicycle Parking Evaluations

In the coming weeks, we’ll be looking at different business’ bicycle parking around the region. Despite an ordinance that requires it, many businesses have been grandfathered in and could use a little education on the need. Below is a matrix for evaluating bicycle parking at businesses. You can memorize it easily, or print a few out to have with you when you pedal around town. When you visit an establishment, conduct a review and then send it in for inclusion in this series.

Trattoria Stella’s ranking for the above rack?  A solid good. They get 0-points for the grill rack, but get 2-points for distance and 1-pt for the subjective considering the effort to lay a platform and place it in a highly visible location.
